A local bridge is going pink this weekend.
The Royal Park Bridge, or "middle bridge" as it's known, will be illuminated in pink Friday night in honor of the upcoming Susan G. Komen South Florida Race for the Cure.
The lighting marks the start of two weeks of events focused on breast cancer awareness and benefitting Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
The bridge, which links Palm Beach to West Palm Beach at Okeechobee Boulevard, will remain lit up in pink each night until the race on Saturday, January 25th.
It's free for the public to show up Friday night, just before 6 p.m. to watch the illumination ceremony. The Mayors of West Palm Beach and Palm Beach will be there.
You can simply show up at the foot of the middle bridge in West Palm Beach and park in the First Baptist church lot on Flagler just south of the bridge.
