Syria: How Local Lawmakers Plan to Vote

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee is set to vote on a resolution to use military force against Syria for its suspected use of chemical weapons.

That resolution would bar putting any U.S. combat troops on the ground.

A vote in support of the president's call to use force in the form of missile attacks would then go to the full senate.

Meanwhile, we're getting word from local lawmakers regarding how they plan to vote.

Democratic U.S. Senator Bill Nelson and Democratic U.S. Congressman Ted Deutch reportedly support military action against Syria. Republican U.S. Senator Marco Rubio and Democratic Congressman Patrick Murphy support the Barack Obama's decision to seek congressional approval.

Those two, along with Democratic Congresswoman Lois Frankel have previously voiced their opposition to putting any U.S. troops on the ground.
