Just in time for the weekend, a popular beach that has been closed to swimmers has reopened.
Florida Department of Health Palm Beach County has CANCELLED a “No Swimming Advisory” for Dubois Park in Jupiter, after bacterial levels in the water tested in the moderate range.
The re-sampling at Dubois showed it to be in the moderate range, prompting the advisory to be lifted. The department reminds persons swimming in marine waters to rinse off with fresh water when possible after swimming.
Health department staff samples the beach waters at 13 locations from Boca Raton to Jupiter for enterococci as recommended by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the EPA.
